Stacker has 5 pricing tiers, each including an option for those who want to plug their Airtable database into Stacker. Strangely, at the time of this writing, you won’t find the Starter or Pro Plan advertised on the Stacker’s main pricing page — you’ll be given these options after you sign up for the free trial when you decide to purchase a plan. 

While Stacker does feature this convenient Airtable integration, it doesn’t require you to bring an external database — you can build your frontend, backend, and database all within Stacker. 

Starter Plan ($79/month billed monthly)

The Starter Plan is designed for small teams just beginning to use the platform. It includes up to 10,000 records for one app editor, and you can also grant viewing permissions for logged-in users to leverage specific features. 

While this plan is ideal for creating internal tools or customer portals, it comes with Stacker branding. So, if you want to incorporate your own logo and provide a professional feel, you’ll need to go with a higher pricing tier or different platform. 

Plus Plan ($179/month billed monthly)

This plan is great for small teams that need a robust platform but don’t require more complex features like cascading style sheets. It allows you to have up to 3 app-editors who can collaborate on apps in real time, so everyone is on the same page when building an app. 

You’ll get a fair amount of power and features, such as the ability to create up to 3 apps with an unlimited number of records. 

Pro Plan ($349/month billed monthly)

The Pro Plan has strong features for any business or organization needing to build various web apps. You can invite a team of up to 10 to work on your app in real time to ensure everyone is up to speed with the latest updates — you’ll also be able to assign permissions to keep specific data private. 

This plan lets you build unlimited apps and allows for up to 50,000 database records. 

The Pro plan features an integration with Airtable for seamless data connection. It’s a great option to build a frontend from your Airtable database. If you already have an Airtable account, this plan will cost $349/month (billed monthly). 

Business Plan

The Business Plan is a beefed-up version of the Pro Plan, allowing a flexible number of editors and up to 100,000 records. You’ll get access to more advanced features, such as cascading style sheets (CSS) so your app stays consistent-looking and loads faster, as well as custom scripts to analyze data, create automations, test and debug, and more. 

Contact Stacker directly about Business Plan pricing. However, if you’re an Airtable user, the business plan will cost $1,000/month (billed monthly).

Enterprise Plan

If you’re a large organization, the Enterprise Plan is for you. You’ll get up to 500,000 records, a flexible number of editors, enterprise single sign-on that only allows those in your organization to access your app, and much more. 

Additionally, you’ll get enterprise-level support, including a dedicated account manager who will help you steer through any issues or questions that arise. The Enterprise tier is the only one that lets you release a white-label, on-brand app.

Is Stacker Worth It?

Now that you have an idea of the features and benefits, let’s take a look at a few decision points that will help you determine whether or not Stacker is for you:

• The free trial is limited: While you can test out Stacker without spending any cash, it has a 30-day limit. This means you’ll need to budget your time wisely to ensure that you can learn the platform. 

• Stacker makes web apps only: Want to publish your app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store? You won’t be able to do so directly through the Stacker platform, which prevents you from getting your app in front of the 1 billion+ combined app-store users. 

• Pricing can get expensive: Stacker pricing starts at an eye-watering $79/month (billed monthly), which is much more expensive than similar app-building platforms. If you go with the Airtable version, you’ll pay up to $349/month, and that’s on top of an Airtable subscription — yikes. These pricing tiers can be a burden for small businesses on a budget.
