What Is Noloco? 

Noloco is a no-code app builder for creating internal business apps such as project management software, sales/marketing funnels, accounting tools, and more. 

You can create web apps that users can access via their internet browsers and progressive web apps (PWAs) that users can download directly to their devices from a link. 

The Noloco platform also doesn’t support publishing in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, so if you want to build an internal business app for marketing to the 1 billion+ app store users, you’ll have to seek a Noloco alternative.   

For instance, if you’re looking at creating an app for anonymous external users (like an e-commerce app) or any other type of client-facing app (like booking or real-estate apps), Noloco doesn’t provide an optimal platform.

The Starter Plan ($49/month)

Generously, Noloco allows you to create unlimited apps on the Starter Plan. 4 people from your team will be able to log into your app and use it for internal purposes. If you need more folks on your team to access your app, you’ll need to pay an extra $4/seat per month.

Noloco also allows 10 clients to log into your app, which is ideal if they need to approve invoices or submit forms. 

Here are some more functionalities you’ll get on the Starter Plan:  

  • Control app permissions by assigning up to 2 user roles.
  • Store up to 5,000 rows of data per app and sync up to 2,500 of these rows between multiple apps to share and transfer data and 5GB of total file storage.
  • Integrate with popular database providers like Airtable, SmartSuite, Google Sheets, and Xano.
  • Automate specific actions, like emailing a customer-service follow-up to a client who just received support.

The Pro Plan ($149/month)

The Pro Plan has all the features of the Starter Plan plus some extras. For instance, you’ll get 10 monthly team member seats and 50 client seats, and it’ll only cost you $6 per extra team member and $1 per extra client monthly. 

In addition to customized, white-label branding, the Pro Plan also includes the following: 

  • 50,000 data rows per app and sync 25,000 rows per app and 20GB of total file storage
  • Advanced automation features for workflows
  • More permissions, such as being able to assign up to 6 user roles and control access to specific data records
  • Connect to a customized domain, meaning you can drop the Noloco domain.
  • A full suite of data-visualization options, like Kanban view, timelines and calendars, and many more

The Business Plan ($319/month)

While both the Pro and Start Plans appeal to startups and small businesses, the Business Plan is fantastic for growing medium-sized organizations. You can accommodate 30 team seats and add extra seats at $10 per seat/month. Noloco grants 100 clients, costing $1 per additional client monthly. 

Here are some of the additional features you’ll get with Noloco’s Business Plan: 

  • 150,000 data rows/app and the ability to sync 50,000 rows across multiple apps and 100GB of total file storage
  • API access for lighting-speed record creating, editing, and deleting 
  • Barcode and QR code scanning for seamless inventory management
  • Up to 10,000 automated workflows
  • Additional database integrations with HubSpot, MySQL, and Postgres

The Enterprise Plan (Custom Pricing)

You’ll get the following features when you get Noloco’s Enterprise Plan: 

  •  Customized number of team members, clients, data rows, synced data, and file storage
  • Access to nearly any data source via API
  • Priority support features like team training and a dedicated account manager
  • Single sign-on gives you tight control over who accesses your apps 

Is Noloco Worth It? 

Noloco is indeed a powerful internal tool builder. While it comes with useful automation features, loads of database integrations, and the ability to create unlimited apps, Noloco has its hangups:

  • No free plan or free version: While you are able to schedule a demo with Noloco’s sales team, you won’t be able to take Noloco for a proper test drive. This means there will probably be many functionalities you’re unaware of when you fork out money for a paid version. 
  • Rigid pricing: While Noloco’s Start Plan is reasonably priced at $49/month, the next option, Noloco’s Pro Plan, is $100/month more expensive, and the Business Plan is over $150/month more than the Pro Plan. These rigid pricing tiers could present hurdles for companies on a budget. 
  • Limited to internal business tools only: If you want to make an external, client-facing app like a booking, social media, or e-commerce app, you won’t be able to use Noloco — it’s engineered to build internal tools and software. 

That said, Noloco excels at creating customized internal business applications. It allows you to visualize and interact with your data while creating automated workflows. So, if you need a powerful internal business app builder, Noloco is an excellent option.
