Many folks shortlist FlutterFlow because it’s a powerful and flexible app-building platform. While you can use FlutterFlow to build almost any app, you should know a few things before investing time in it.

While FlutterFlow has competitively priced tiers, it isn’t for everyone. Luckily, I’ve been reviewing no-code app-building platforms, including FlutterFlow, and recommending them to individuals, businesses, and organizations for over a decade.

If you’re wondering if FlutterFlow is worth your hard-earned money, you’ve landed on the right article. In this article, I’ll walk you through all the FlutterFlow pricing models so you can determine if they are a good fit for your needs.

What Is FlutterFlow?

FlutterFlow stands out from many app-building platforms because it’s a low-code app builder, unlike the many no-code app builders on the market. While low-code app builders are still accessible to users with minimal coding experience, you won’t be able to use all the functionality without more technical knowledge.

But if you understand the logic behind coding and are a little versed in a programming language like Java or C++, you might find FlutterFlow useful.

However, beginners will most likely struggle with FlutterFlow’s more advanced interface.

While having technical knowledge is a prerequisite for using FlutterFlow, the platform does leverage some no-code features and other advantageous offerings, including:

  • A drag-and-drop interface lets you build your app without using code (though you can patch in your own code to include certain features).
  • An enormous ecosystem full of resources like the FlutterFlow YouTube Channel and the opportunity to connect with other users in the FlutterFlow Community.
  • An AI tool that helps you create specialized features for your app by entering a simple prompt.
  • Directly publish your app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store so users can download it directly to their phones.

FlutterFlow Pricing: How Much Does It Cost?

FlutterFlow has 5 different pricing options, including its free version. Here’s a brief rundown of its pricing tiers

#1 FlutterFlow’s Free Version

Get to know how FlutterFlow feels by opening a free account. Not only will you be able to use the building interface, but you’ll also get integrations with FireBase and Supabase. These will give you more developer tools, authentication through Google and Facebook, and more.

The free version also lets you publish your app to the web, integrate a payment system, and send push notifications. You can also enter your own code to create custom features and conduct state management, which is a key technical functionality.

Ultimately, FlutterFlow’s free version has enough features to make a decent app.

#2 FlutterFlow’s Standard Version: $30/Month (Billed Monthly)

The $30/month pricing tier gives you everything you get in the free version and then some.

FlutterFlow makes an offer that most no-code app-building platforms don’t — it allows you to keep your app’s source code. This is a tremendous pro for techies, as they can develop an app’s skeleton with FlutterFlow and then take the source code to build the rest of their app using traditional programming.

If you have your own domain (a web address like www.yoursite.com), you can release your FlutterFlow app on it. You’ll also have the option to publish your app on the Google Play Store (but not the Apple App Store) using the APK (Android Packet Kit) that the $30/month version provides.

#3 FlutterFlow’s Pro Version: $70/Month (Billed Monthly)

For $70/month, you’ll get all the useful features from the $30/month version, plus a few more powerful functionalities.

First and foremost, you’ll be able to publish your app to the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store with one-click deployment, making it easy to release your app.

You’ll also get a vaunted GitHub integration, which is helpful for version control and collaboration. You can share your app with the extensive GitHub community and patch new features you find there.

In addition, the $70/month tier allows you to add in-app chat to your interface, which you can use to supercharge any app for client communication. This feature is ideal for booking apps, CRMs, and more.

#4 FlutterFlow’s Team Version: $70/Month Per User (Billed Monthly)

Got a team of developers? FlutterFlow offers a pricing tier for your team's needs, such as allowing real-time app-building collaboration. Not only will you get all the features of the Pro Version, but FlutterFlow will give you tons of team-centric features, like:

  • Managed billing keeps track of how many hours you spend per client.
  • Project-level access control is available if you have a large team with siloed responsibilities.
  • Audit logs ensure all changes are tracked and recorded.
  • Git-style visual branching allows specialists to build separate parts of an app at different times.

#5 FlutterFlow’s Enterprise Version: Contact FlutterFlow for Pricing

You'll probably want the enterprise version if you’re a large organization or business with over $10 million in annual revenue (FlutterFlow suggested this number). It’s scalable, has enhanced security features, and supports everything a big company needs to run an app.

Is FlutterFlow Worth It?

Here’s the final word on whether or not you should learn FlutterFlow: If you’re a techie or have some development experience, FlutterFlow has all the bells and whistles you need to create a super-powerful app. Flutterflow’s pricing tiers align with its competitors like Adalo and Bubble.

However, if you have no technical experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

Yet, there’s a caveat for techies: While FlutterFlow does provide a platform for showcasing your coding and tech knowledge, there have been grumblings about its ability to process code. This happens when converting a native mobile app for publishing to the app stores.

Because of these flaws, some FlutterFlow users have found that they can’t build the exact type of app they want using the platform and have had a frustrating building experience.

Adalo: The Best FlutterFlow Alternative

Are you looking for an app-building platform that’s truly no-code? Look no further than Adalo.

Unlike FlutterFlow, you won’t need any technical, coding, or programming experience to make an app with Adalo. If you can create an online account, you’ll be able to use Adalo.

You’ll also be able to publish your app on the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store for nearly half the price of FlutterFlow. Get started using Adalo’s free version, which lets you release a web app and take payments through a Stripe integration.
