Custom actions open up a whole new world of possibilities — and they are endless! Simply connect an API where the action you would like to take place happens, and set how the action takes place in Adalo. You can utilize custom text to fill in information that is passed through the API & more.
Now you can trigger an email, send a text message, slack a channel, call someone, create tasks in your project management system… we’ve even heard that someone used a custom action to turn his light on. 💡What actions will you trigger?

Our Zapier integration is out of beta & ready to be used! Upon a new record creation — you can connect to Zapier to trigger a response from the over 1,500 integrations that Zapier supports.
How is this different from custom actions?
You don’t have to know anything tricky to set up through Zapier. With custom actions, a little bit of background in APIs is required to set those up!

Masonry layout for custom lists is here! If you’re not sure what that means, now all your lists will display based on the spacing you set, as opposed to the space that the content takes up. This is a win for designers everywhere! You can toggle masonry layouts on & off depending on how you would like your custom list to appear & that can be found under “Edit Styles” on your custom list component.
And for your information, Masonry Layout defaults to “on” for custom lists!

The app idea came about because COVID-19 and the prospect of finding jobs, specifically for upcoming graduates! SPOTTO helps hiring organizations match with job-seekers and set up interviews — a mini-ATS of sorts. Not only is this the first (& certainly not the last) app that has been created on Adalo & was acquired — but, it’s the first no-code app that has been acquired in Japan… ever! This is a big win for the no-code community.
